Beschreibung
To say goodbye to the German mark, the Deutsche Bundesbank issued the gold mark. The motif was similar to that of the normal 1 DM coin with the exception of the inscription “Deutsche Bundesbank”. The edition of 1 million pieces was minted in the 5 mints. The proceeds from the sale went to the “Money and Currency” foundation as well as to the renovation of the Museum Island in Berlin. Zum Abschied der deutschen Mark verausgabte die Deutsche Bundesbank die Goldmark. Das Motiv glich dem der normalen 1-DM Münze mit Ausnahme der Umschrift "Deutsche Bundesbank". Die Prägung der Auflage von 1 Mio. Stück erfolgte in den 5 Münzprägestätten. Der Ertrag aus dem Verkauf ging sowohl an die Stiftung "Geld und Währung", als auch an die Sanierung der Museumsinsel in Berlin. Auflage: 1948 Stück
